Winning championships is all about consistency, so you have to say world champion Jorge Lorenzo and his Fiat Yamaha team have scored 10 out of 10 for what they've done this season.
It's not been a stunning year, and I think it will be remembered as a season of people losing it and falling by the wayside, but that's no-one's fault but their own.
I'm incredibly surprised at how the fiery young Lorenzo has matured this year.
The way he kept coming off in the last few years, we thought it'd take a bit longer for him to grow up, but his turn-around has been amazing. You'll wait a long time to see someone as solid as that again.
He's only 23 and he's going to get more experienced and more confident. He's shown he's the real deal and he'll take a lot of beating over the next few years, and I don't expect it to start at this weekend's final race of the season in Valencia.
I think people's minds will already be on 2011.
For Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner, Sunday's race is probably of secondary importance to testing on Tuesday, when they'll get a run-out with their new teams for next year - Ducati and Repsol Honda, respectively.
There's no point them getting injured or screwing things up now, as what happens after Sunday is the start of what will happen next year, and Rossi and Stoner are certainly potential champions in 2011.
With that happening, the race might not be all that competitive, so it could be like a couple of years ago when Superbikes rider Troy Bayliss came in for the last race with nothing to lose, and won it.
If that is the case, then someone like Andrea Doviozoso could be a good outside bet.
Next season, a lot of the excitement is going to be in the world of Moto2.
Bradley Smith is moving up from 125cc to join the Tech 3 Yamaha garage, which is a good place to be, and you can't say enough about Scott Redding - the way he worked his way up from the back of the grid to almost finish on the podium last time out in Portugal was superb.
Whether you're involved in it or not, Moto2 is a great series and everyone I know is watching it - it's almost the main event of the weekend.
And I'm pleased to see that the competition organisers have realised this by giving champion Toni Elias a chance in MotoGP next year at LCR Honda, because coming up through the ranks is the right way to progress if you want a proper go in MotoGP.
Just ask Jorge Lorenzo.
My Valencia race prediction:
1) Jorge Lorenzo 2) Valentino Rossi 3) Casey Stoner
