Bautista aiming for incredible Estoril return

Rizla Suzuki’s Alvaro Bautista is targeting an amazing return to the MotoGP arena at this weekend’s bwin Grande Prémio de Portugal, just 42 days after breaking his left femur.

Bautista has been undergoing intensive physiotherapy to make sure he is at a sufficient level of fitness to be able to take to the track on Friday, following a full medical to determine his ability to compete. If he is unable to ride at a competitive level, Rizla Suzuki will have Factory test rider Nobuatsu Aoki on stand-by to take over if he has to withdraw from the event â€Â" but Bautista’s clear target is to compete in the Grand Prix.

Rizla Suzuki's GSV-R will feature a new logo in Estoril â€Â" ‘Change and Challenge’ - which is used by Suzuki in the Asian regions to promote its new range of motorcycle products in these markets. Rizla Suzuki hopes to engage with the enthusiasm and passion of all MotoGP fans in these areas and it appreciates all the support of Bautista as he undertakes what is certainly a huge ‘challenge’ in his comeback from serious injury.

Bautista plans to take to the track on Friday morning for the first of two free-practice sessions. Saturday will see a final practice in the morning, followed by an hour-long qualifying session in the afternoon where he aims to be qualifying for the best grid position he can obtain.

Álvaro Bautista:

“I have been working very hard to be back in time for Estoril and I believe I will be able to take part in the race. I know it will be difficult, but I think the sooner I can get on the bike the more it will aid my total recovery and help my way to full fitness. I have travelled over 4.5km with many journeys to the hyperbaric chamber in Madrid to assist with my healing - I have been there so many times I could close my eyes and go without problems! I have now finished the rehabilitation phase and started on the physical preparation; this involves a lot of swimming, cycling and other fitness programmes to build up the strength so I can ride again.”

“It is going to be really tough, but I am totally focused on being on the GSV-R in Portugal, it’s all I can think about at the moment and that is my first goal. After that we’ll see what happens and take everything one step at a time.”

rosaliepopson: First Look at the 2012 Honda MotoGP Race Bike

While we were busy filing our taxes last week, HRC was busy at the Suzuka circuit shaking out its yet-to-be-named 2012 MotoGP race bike. Details are a bit sparse, but motogp.com is reporting that HRC test ridersKousuke Akiyoshi and Tady Okada were at the helm of the new bike, and the website shows a solitary photo that craftily doesn’t give away too much about the machine. The private test is a prelude to Honda’s factory ...

Kevin Schwantz explains why the MotoGP arrives in Texas

Following the news about the addition of the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, to the MotoGP calendar since the 2013 season, Kevin Schwantz MotoGP.com spoke with the contract that will take ten years for the World Championship in the state that gave origins.

The former World Champion, 500 (1993) has struggled recently in an attempt to hide his enthusiasm while discussing the new facility that will host the race, which is currently under construction, and whose ultimate realization is scheduled for mid-2012.
“Having followed the development of this system from the outset, I am sincerely delighted and I think we’ll have a better outcome,” said Schwantz. “From the perspective of a pilot, which is also basically my point of view, I think will be a great track, long, challenging yet safe. It will require great strength and ability to put the pilot in command of the race.”

Schwantz’s support was crucial for the development of a path as possible suitable for motorcycle racing. In fact, he continued: “One of my closest friends here in Texas, Tavo Hellmund, is the one who set up the whole project. It is also one of three owners of the structure and in the early stages when they discussed the type of circuit, there was talk of F1 but from the point of view of safety we make sure we do nothing that would prevent us one day to bring the bikes here. ”
“When I started the design phase, I was able to attend in person. I do not work on the project every day, but I’ve taken part in some meetings with the boys of the group to make sure of the presence of escape routes for increased safety of the bikes” .
According Schwantz, the vision adopted in favor of a possible GP, provided an opportunity to the United States to increase its prestige in the circle MotoGP.

“As riders we also know how people can be excited to watch motorcycle racing. Our goal is to create an event that everyone wants to attend and that no one wants to miss. From a logistical point of view, the circuit Dister less than 10 miles from the capital, the airport midway between the city and the track. were also created many other things especially designed for the fans and to offer them an experience as rewarding as possible. ”

The work of promoting Schwantz will continue until the beginning of the season 2013. “I will do exactly as I did in the past with Laguna Seca and Indianapolis. If there be need of me while everyone else will be busy organizing the MotoGP, I’ll be happy to contribute,” he said.
“What I do is try to give our sport the recognition it deserves. At Laguna Seca we are Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson and all the other guys, and I give them a hand when needed, which will surely they, too, here in Texas. ”

“Having only 20 minutes from my school, a facility dedicated to world-class motorcycle racing, will be perfect,” he added. “From the beginning I had a clear idea of ??what would be the end result, and we have two things like that are very close here in Texas will be crucial.”

DUCATI 848

Kurang Cocok Untuk Harian

But in case if they decide not to hold a race there would be no replacement race. "" National Championships scheduled for July with local races where the venue should be able to be reused. At that time we must be convinced of what we do. "

Besides the problem of damaged infrastructure is still, the question of nuclear radiation that hit some areas in Japan are also causing great concern.
"I believe that to them (the Japanese) and if they say the race could be held then the 1000% the situation is secure. If the situation is not safe, then I can confirm that the first thing they do is evaluate siatusi appropriately," Ezpeleta straightforward.

averylorenzon: "No wonder degree Sentul MotoGP"

GERNO IN LESMO - Jorge Lorenzo to give support to Indonesia to be able to participate in the MotoGP title. Racing Yamaha rider even mention, the Sentul Circuit worthy entry in the calendar series of two-wheeled racing's most elite in the world.

As a Yamaha rider, Lorenzo was quite familiar with Indonesia, which was recorded as one of the countries with the largest market in sales of Yamaha motorcycles. This Spaniard has even visited the country several times and some can speak Indonesian.

In recent times a visit to Indonesia, in addition to ad campaigns, Lorenzo also had a chance to try out the Sentul Circuit. The impression he gave of the best circuits Indonesia is also quite good. Drivers 23 years is even dare to claim, the circuit with a length of 4:12 km and 11 corners are worthy to hold races in MotoGP.

Japanese Grand Prix calendar 2011

Japanese Grand Prix calendar 2011

A stay at the Japanese Grand Prix calendar 2011 would have to run next weekend. Then we all know what a tragedy struck the island: the earth trembles, the sea that rises and then the disaster of the central Fukushima. The Grand Prize is not there, they all point to 2 October. A few days ago the news, even the voice, which the Japanese Grand Prix is ??likely to be canceled and that change will take place in another state and is already being done on behalf of Turkey. This is the situation so far when the words of Carmelo Ezpeleta seems to have settled the succession of rumors and denials.
The Japanese Grand Prix will take place and if for some reason can not be not be replaced. The statements issued by the President of Dorna La Gazzetta dello Sport seem to close the matter permanently.

“We are awaiting the decision of the local promoter, said.” However, if this year decided to abandon the race, there would be no replacement. They set a national competition for the month of July, this means that at that moment the track will again be usable. By then we should be sure of what we do. ”

The decision remains in the hands of the Japanese organization in a capacity Ezpeleta confident and had complete confidence: “If you say that you can go ahead with the race, I’m sure it will be because there is a level of safety of 1.000%. If the situation should be clear, I am sure it would be the first able to evaluate it in an appropriate manner, “he said.

In Italy’s Valentino Rossi in the lead with 20.8 million dollars (about 14.3 million euro) beats even the players. All in all a figure “modest” compared to 32 million dollars of Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez, star of professional baseball in the U.S. and Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao.

MotoGP 2006: Official Review | Ramblin Man Films

This book is an excellent resource for those who are looking for a good movie to watch. Like any other “list” it has its’ limits. No two peoples likes and dislikes are exactly the same. Thus there will be disagreements over what is included in the “Best 1000 Movies”. Frankly though, the disagreements will probably be over what was included in this book rather than what was excluded; the top 1000 certainly covers a lot of ground. As I came across a movie I thought was undeserving, I thought to myself, “How could they include this movie and leave out…” Strangely enough, every movie I thought to finish the sentence with turned out to be in the book. OK, so it IS short on some of the great comedy of the past; I believe “Duck Soup” is the only Marx Brothers entry. But, then, I didn’t need this book to tell me how good the Marx Brother movies are.

What is has done for me, once I stopped gawking and started to put it to work, is introduce me to a lot of good movies that I would have missed otherwise. I’ve been going to the video stores lately looking for the “older” movies of the 80′s and 90′s rather that the meager selections of new releases. Agreed, most of the ones I’ve checked out have not been on anyone’s top ten list. However, they have been enjoyable and better than most of the movies I’ve seen on TV of late.

I do have a couple of mild criticisms of this book. The first thing I would “criticize” is the format. (It may also be its’ strength so I proceed caustiously along this line). The format is to list the movies with their original New York Times review. That’s very well except that the “Times” panned a number of these movies in their reviews. “Bonnie and Clyde” comes to mind as a movie that received a particularly bad review. Now we all know that “Bonnie and Clyde” is a deserving member of the Top 1000 because we’ve either seen it or know its’ reputation. But what about the lesser movies that we’ve neither seen nor heard much about. How are we to be inspired to go out and watch based solely on a negative review. Some historical perspective could have helped. However, if that were the case, they’d probably still be writing the book. Another “criticism” I have is how I was struck with the notion that most of the movies are of a more recent vintage. I actually sat down and totalled the number of movies in the list by decade (yes, I DO have other things to do with my life). I had always heard that the 1930′s were the Golden Age of Cinema but the results suggest otherwise (at least in the eyes of these NY Times editors). There were two movies in the 1920′s (kudos to “Disraeli” and “The Jazz Singer”), 92 in the 30′s, 129 in the 40′s, 146 in the 50′s, 150 in the 60′s, 156 in the 70′s, 200 in the 80′s and 128 in the 90′s (the latest movies I noticed were in 1998). Thus the new Golden Age would seem to be the 1980′s. Why doesn’t seem that way in reality? There was an art to movie-making in the pre-1970′s that challenged the productions to use more symbolism. Now that we have the technology and lack of inhibitions to show just about anything and everything on film, there seems to be little reason to be suggestive rather than blunt. I suspect that the reason the number are so slanted towards recent vintage may be the failure of the editors to have seen more of the great movies of the past. Having said that, I close with thanks for the effort that went into this book and the excellent resource it will serve for anyone who’s looking for a good movie to watch.

rodgerhaye9: Sachsenring MotoGP Round "Safe", But Contract ...

The news emerging from MotoGP contract negotiations recently has not been promising. The Brno circuit is asking for money from the national government to help support the Czech Grand Prix, the Jerez circuit saga continues, with debts still unpaid to the contractors Serviobras and FCC who carried out construction work, and the Sachsenring circuit has still not secured an extension of its contract with Dorna to host the German Grand Prix from next year.

But things may not be as bleak as they seem, at least not as far as the Sachsenring circuit is concerned. After reports, relayed here, from the regional arm of the German tabloid Bild that the Sachsenring could lose the German Grand Prix, the German-language motorsports magazine Speedweek did some further digging into the matter. What their investigations turned up was much better news: according to veteran GP reporter Gunther Wiesinger, the chances of the Sachsenring not hosting the German MotoGP round are as good as zero. Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta told Wiesinger that the two parties involved - Dorna and the ADAC, the German equivalent of the Automobile Association that organize the event and own the Sachsenring circuit - were certain to find a solution. "I do not see a problem for the future of the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring," Ezpeleta told Wiesinger.

First of all, FU Toolie Moody, Laguna Seca is safer than most the tracks in GP.

Second, Mr. Squigz & Coupe d'etat, this certainly IS a "safety" issue! Its a matter of SAFETY for the millions of rabid Rossi fans that Vale get any edge possible to 'safely' regain the title. Its even a matter of 'safety' for the pocketbook of Dorna to keep the throngs of the Yellow Army glued to their TVs so as to provide the rating for which 9/10 of marketing dollars is sold to sponsors. In fact, its more than a matter of 'safety', for which Rossi was more than justified in bringing up the issue in said arm of the governing body, but its also a matter of survival.

Plus, i'd like to remind u, when Pedro, (the real villain in this story) came into the top category, he was 98lbs, in the years that followed, when Rossi was winning titles in 08/09, Dani balooned to a 108lbs. This kind of weight gain must be stopped. Sure, Rossi was too busy winning to pay much attention to Pedro, but at this rate, Dani will eventually be 290lbs. Its the least Rossi & Simocelli can do to stem the tide of unhealthy weight gain. Everybody knows obesity is linked to several diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and the wors of all, loss of titlenitous.

And third, "kerb"? Really? Is that how u fucks spell 'curb' in Euro?

'New era' for MotoGP as 1000cc returns in 2012 | maggiemavis

Valentino Rossi has got his wish â€" the maximum engine capacity forMotoGP will return to 1,000cc from 2012 onwards, ending the era of what the Cheap New Era HatsYamaha star has in the past described as ‘the biggest mistake the world championship has made in the last 15 years’.

The announcement was made following a reunion of the Wholesale New Era CapsGrand Prix Commission at the Geneva headquarters of governing body the FIM to discuss the future of MotoGP, assembling leading representatives from commercial and television rights-holder Dorna and the Motorcycle Sports Manufacturers’ Association (MSMA).

After the maximum engine capacity was reduced from 990cc to 800cc two years ago â€" replacing the highly successful four-stroke regulations that had been introduced back in 2002 in place of the two-stroke 500cc â€" the decision has now been taken to practically reverse that step. The rules will continue to adhere to the four-stroke, unlimited cylinders 800cc variant in 2010 and 2011, with a maximum usage of six engines per rider next season and two extra engines available to each manufacturer for ‘wild card’ entries.

“It was a very important meeting   New Era Hats to decide the future of the MotoGPclass,” explained Dorna chairman Carmelo Ezpeleta, quoted onmotogp.com. “From 2012 the bikes will have an engine capacity of up to 1,000cc, have up to four cylinders and the maximum bore will be 81mm.

“The main changes we have decided on are new rules for the MotoGPclass,” added FIM President Vito Ippolito. “We will have four-cylinder engines, four-stroke of course, with a 1,000cc maximum. Sachsenring MotoGP Round "Safe", But Contract Haggling Continues ...
