Victorian election 2010 results

Victorian election 2010 results : A HUGE swing against Labor has brought down many long-standing MPs with the election results expected to see as many as 13 seats lost. Outer suburban Melbourne and key regions largely turned its back on Labor, and among those seats lost include: Mt Waverley, Gembrook, Carrum, Seymour, South Barwon, Forest Hill, Burwood, Prahran and Mitcham.

In the closest election since Jeff Kennett was knocked from power in 1999, there was a clear swing away from the Government to the Coalition -- mainly in Melbourne's east and south-eastern suburbs. Labor's frontbench losses included Consumer Affairs Minister Tony Robinson (former Mitcham MP) and Children and Early Childhood Development Minister Maxine Morand (Mt Waverley) voted out of office.
